This Sub-Component focuses on:-
Through strengthening of the regular extension system (pastoral and farmer training centers, development agents, and pastoral and agro-pastoral research and extension groups (PAPREGs) and the mobile extension system (pastoral and agro-pastoral field schools, P/APFS), it enhances the production and productivity of the livestock and crop production systems.
The Focus is also on feed and forage technologies, community breed improvement, good pastoral practices, improved crop and livestock husbandry practices, nutrition education and homestead gardening and gender equality. Animal health will be specifically supported by capacity building of CAHWs, equipping of CAHWs with trainings and kits, equipping local animal health clinics, and by exploring public-private partnership arrangements for stable access to fairly priced drugs.

በደቡብ ምዕራብ ኢትዮጵያ ህዝቦች ክልላዊ መንግሥት አርብቶ አደርና ቆላማ አካባቢ ጉዳይ ቢሮ ፤ የቆላማ አካባቢዎች ኑሮ ማሻሻያ ፕሮጀክት በማህበረሰብ እንስሳት ጤና ተጠሪነት ሙያ ያሰለጠናቸዉን 15 ሰልጣኞች ታህሳስ 09/2016 ዓ.ም በ ባቹማ አስመረቀ።
ለተመረቁ ሰልጣኞች ለእያንዳንዳቸው ከ30,000 ብር በላይ የሚገመቱ የእንስሳት ጤና መገልገያ መሣሪያዎች እና መድኃኒቶች የተሰጣቸው ሲሆን ፤ የተሰጣቸውን መድኃኒት በቀጣይነት እየሸጡና እየገዙ (Revolve) እያደረጉ የሚጠቀሙበትና አርብቶ አደሩንም የሚያገለግሉበት ነዉ ።
ተመራቂ ባለሙያዎችም ከስልጠናው የቀሰሙትን እዉቀትና ክህሎት በአግባቡ በመተግበር ለአርብቶ አደሩ ማህበረሰብ አገልግሎት እንደሚሰጡ ቃል ገብተዋል።
